The Mortgage Strategy awards are based on 16,000 broker nominations received via the magazine’s website. A panel of judges, headed by Richard Farr, director of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries, then decided on the winner.

Commenting on the achievement, Mark Harris, managing director of SPF, said:

‘I am delighted that SPF has won buy-to-let broker of the year at the Mortgage Strategy awards and has been recognised ahead of our competitors. This follows the four awards we picked up at last year’s British Mortgage Awards and recognises the hard work and effort our consultants put in, plus the expertise we have in this area.

‘Although market conditions are tougher at the moment as a result of the global credit crunch and subsequent liquidity squeeze, this award recognises the fact that we continue to help our buy-to-let clients find the right finance for their circumstances.’
